Kimetsu No Yaiba : The Story of Gyomei Himejima-Hashira Stone (English Version)

Gyomei Himejima is one of the strongest hasira characters in the anime and manga series kimetsu no yaiba, and he is a pillar with the stone breathing technique. Having a giant body with a muscular body and a height of up to 2 meters, Gyomei actually has a gentle nature and a very sensitive heart, so he seems to often cry with what is happening around him. In addition, gyomei has been blind since childhood, which makes the pupils in her eyes completely invisible, and she also has a wide scar on her head from an incident in the past. Described as a religiously devout hashira, the gyomei has the appearance of a monk who often carries a prayer beads in his hand, and often recites Buddhist prayers. Gyomei is also known to be a unique hashira, because he does not use a sword as his weapon, but instead uses an ax and an iron ball connected by a long chain.

This weapon makes Gyomei's attacks very dangerous and difficult to detect by the opponent, and Gyomei uses the sound of the chain from his weapon to be able to predict the movements of his enemy. His very strong physique makes Gyomei able to lift incredibly heavy loads, even Kokushibu himself admits that Gyomei is the strongest opponent he has ever faced after 300 years. During his life and after joining as a member of the demon hunter, Gyomei had contributed to saving the childhood of Kanae and Shinobu Kocho, and he was also one of the people who had been the caretaker of Kaigaku. Even though Gyomei will not be shown very often in this anime, but he is a character who plays a role in killing the strongest upper moon demon, namely kokushibu, and has an important role with demon hunters to defeat the demon king kibutsuji muzan. So in this video, we will discuss the strongest Hashira character who is a user of the stone breathing technique, namely Gyomei Himejima. Gyomei's life story begins when she was a child, where Gyomei is known to be born as a normal human being in general. But once in his childhood, Gyomei suffered from a disease that made his body experience a prolonged fever, but after he recovered, Gyomei actually went blind in both eyes. Shortly after his parents died, Gyomei then lived and was cared for at a temple with the monks there. Living with the monks made gyomei a gentle person, and he also became a very religious person. Several years before becoming a demon hunter, in his teens Gyomei then lived with nine orphans in a temple, and he became the one who cared for and nurtured them all. Because their residence is an area that is notorious for demon attacks, it makes Gyomei always burn wisteria incense at night, to ward off demons that will harm him and the children he raises. One of the children raised by Gyomei is Kaigaku, who later this Kaigaku will become a foster child as well as a student of the former Lightning Pillar, Jigoro Kuwajima, and also become a senior for Zenitsu. But unfortunately while living at the temple, kaigaku actually did an old habit of stealing money in the temple, thus making other children who knew what he did and kicked the kaigaku out of there. Gyomei doesn't know about this, as the other children told him that the kaigaku had committed an offence, and chose to flee their temple. On the night after Kaigaku was expelled, on the way he actually met a demon who intended to kill him. Realizing that his life was in danger, Kaigaku then begged the demon not to eat him, and instead, Kaigaku offered more prey to the demon. Kaigaku then led the demon to go to the temple, and said that there were many children living there. After extinguishing the dupawisteria that were burned by the gyomei around the temple, kaigaku then chose to run away and let the demon attack the children living in the temple. Shortly after, four children were immediately killed by the demon, so the remaining children panicked and chose to run away. Even though Gyomei asked them to stay in the temple, they ignored Gyomei's orders. Gyomei also realized that because of his weak body and blindness in his eyes, that was what triggered the children's distrust of him, so that the runaway children were killed by the demon. In the end there was only one youngest child named sayo who chose to stay with gyomei, it was also because he was too scared to move his body. After the demon entered and tried to kill them, gyomei then ventured to protect sayo and counterattacked the demon. The battle indirectly made Gyomei realize that he had terrifying strength, even though his head was badly injured by the demon's attack, but he was still able to turn things around. Unknowingly gyomei had killed the demon by beating him repeatedly until the sun rose, so that the demon's body finally disappeared because it was scorched and burned. Shortly after, the villagers came to their place to help, but out of fear, Sayo told the villagers that the man was a demon and he had killed everyone. Those words made the villagers mistakenly think that the man in question was gyomei as the culprit, even though what he meant was actually a demon who had killed his friends. However, because of the demon's body that was left by the sun, the villagers ended up capturing gyomei And then imprisoning him. This incident put Gyomei in prison on charges of murdering 7 innocent children, and Gyomei received the death penalty for a crime he did not commit. Luckily, not long before he was to be executed, Kagaya Ubuyashiki heard of the case and then came to his area, so that Kagaya then managed to free Gyomei from prison. After being freed, Gyomei then decided to become a demon hunter, and then he even only needed 2 months to be made a hasira. During his duty as Hasira, one day Gyomei once saved two girls from a demon attack that killed their parents, and the two children turned out to be Kanae and Shinobu Kocho. That important event made Kanae and Shinobu aware of the dangers of terror from the demons, and they determined together to join forces as demon hunters to protect each other. Gyomei is later seen attending after The Mt. Natagumo arc, where he is at Kagaya Ubuyashiki's house along with the rest of Hashira, to discuss what to do with Tanjiro and Nezuko. Gyomei reappears at the end of the mungentrain arc, and he is seen showing his sadness by crying and praying when he receives news of Renggoku Kyojuro's death. Shortly thereafter, Gyomei is again seen at the great demon hunter training, after the attack on the swordsmith village. When tanjiro and zenitsu arrive at the gyomei training camp in the mountains, they are surprised to find all the trainees including Inosuke meditating under a waterfall. And when they turned around when gyomei greeted him, tanjiro and zenitsu were again surprised to see gyomei standing on tiptoe on the burning ground, balancing wood and boulders on his shoulders. Gyomei said that the most important thing was the core of the body, and his training was aimed at strengthening all the members of their body. Inosuke can even sense that Gyomei is The strongest demon hunter he has ever met, and Tanjiro also admits that Gyomei is the only pillar with a different scent from the others. Gyomei is then seen pushing a giant boulder which is larger than the one the trainees use when crossing the mountain, and the training leaves the other trainees surprised by the physical strength of the gyomei. As Gyomei's own disciple, Genya reveals to Tanjiro that when he recites a prayer, he and Gyomei will remember their anger and painful memories, so that it will make their heart rate and temperature increase. After Tanjiro successfully completed the training and became severely dehydrated, Gyomei then came and poured water on Tanjiro to save him. Gyomei becomes amazed at Tanjiro and Nezuko's determination after saving the swordsmith village, which eventually makes Gyomei believe in them even more and begins to tell her past. After telling him about his past, at that time Gyomei just wanted to say thank You to him, but he understood that the boy was really confused because of all the chaos that had happened, and didn't mean to set him up on purpose. The incident turned out to be traumatizing for Gyomei, and she herself was always suspicious of everyone. But finally he came to his senses after seeing Tanjiro's determination and honesty, thus making Gyomei's suspicions fade and he was even proud of Tanjiro. During the infinity castle arc, gyomei managed to destroy the head of muzan who was being attacked by tamayo, before finally he and the other hasira were trapped in the castle. There he and sanemi and genya and muichiro then fought with the strongest moon demon , kokushibu, although they almost suffered defeat due to the extraordinary strength of the kokushibu, but in the end Gyomei and sanemi managed to kill the kokushibu by crushing his head. Gyomei then returned to fight with other Demon hunters and hasira against kibutsuji muzan in the city, and the fight was very fierce and full of blood. When muzan turns into a big baby and tries to escape, gyomei manages to hold off muzan's body along with other demon hunters. Although in the end Muzan was defeated, Gyomei had to die in the fight due to a very severe wound where he lost one of his legs, and many other injuries to his body. When his death approached, the spirits of all the orphans he had cared for then came to pick up Gyomei who was dying, and they began to tell stories that they didn't intend to run away from the temple, but instead wanted to go find help so that Gyomei and the other children could be saved. In the end, Gyomei finds out the real reason why his foster children actually left when the devil attacked, and when the spirit of his foster children invited Gyomei to go, Gyomei accepted their invitation and finally died smiling. So that's the discussion about one of the strongest hasira with the stone breathing technique , namely gyomei himejima.
